What is a MAP price?

MAP stands for Minimum Advertised Price. Manufacturers are not allowed under law to set a minimum selling price - that is between the seller and the customer, however they ARE allowed to set a minimum price at which a product may be advertised. Merchants who do not follow these policies are subject to not being able to buy the manufacturer's products.

The good news about a MAP policy is that the manufacturer cannot set the SELLING price! We will still be offering discounts from list price, even on MAP items. Here is how it works:

When you go to a product on our web site that is under a MAP policy, you will see the MAP price as the price of the item. If you see an asterick (*), all you have to do is add that item to your shopping cart. Your shopping cart will show you the actual, below MAP price, which you can keep or delete from your shopping cart. The shopping cart price is the transaction price.
